After a 10-year career working as an Occupational Hygienist in the Western Australian mining industry, I decided it was time for a sea change. I moved to sunny Port Macquarie in 2019 with my husband and our 2 young kids. We have a gorgeous cavoodle named ‘Sunny’ who just loves people. During my time off I am normally walking the dog, doing some yoga or a rainforest walk for the fresh air.

 

I decided on a career change because I wanted to make a difference to people’s lives. I love speech pathology because of how much diversity there is in practice – no two days are the same. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients and their families to find ways to support improved communication and/or swallowing.
