I work with children and teenagers at Hastings Macleay Speech Pathology. I completed a Master of Speech and Language Pathology in 2018 and have enjoyed working on the Mid North Coast since 2019. In my downtime I love walking with my dog Wally, bushwalking, snorkelling, camping & relaxing.
At HM Speech, I see children and adults for a range of speech, language, communication and swallowing concerns. I am passionate about empowering people to live with access to communication and swallowing services they need - when they need it.
I am interested in all areas of my job; Speech Pathologists get to help people in so many ways and I work with a multi-skilled Speech Pathology team. My specific areas of interest are helping young children with early language difficulties and autism, helping people of all ages with speech sound difficulties and literacy difficulties and exploring alternative communication methods for people with limited expressive (spoken) communication ability. I am committed to delivering evidence-based practice, and I am always learning and researching to make sure I am giving the best standard of care to the people I meet.
I have obtained many skills over the years including the following qualifications and certificates:
- MSPA (Member of Speech Pathology Australia) & CPSP (Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist)
- It Takes Two to Talk® The Hanen Program® for Parents
- More Than Words® The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
